Summary

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation has received and reviewed the Army's adverse effect notice regarding the proposed demolition of Building 238, a Category I property located within the Fort Sam Houston National Historic Landmark District. The Council is interested in the opinions of the Texas State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), the Society for the Preservation of Historic Fort Sam Houston, and the San Antonio Conservation Society regarding the disposition and treatment of this property. As a result, the Council requests a Draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for this undertaking and any comments that the Army may have received from interested parties and the SHPO.
