An Army vehicle moving through the sally port to the Long Barracks, Building 613, accidentally struck the upper corner of the archway, resulting in a large portion of the brick facade being undermined. The purpose of this letter is to photographic documentation and inform the Texas Historical Commission of the adverse effect this accident had on the historic building.
