Summary

The Texas Historical Commission review staff, led by Elizabeth Butman, has completed its review of project documentation received on January 17, 2012. Based on this material, the proposed undertaking consists of the rehabilitation of Building 133 for use as courthouse for the Staff Judge Advocate. This building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Fort Sam Houston National Historic Landmark District.

The Commission found that the proposed changes do not meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and will have an adverse effect on this historic property. This letter offers comments regarding bringing the work into compliance with the Standards.
