Summary

Archeological site survey basic data report for site 18MO394 (Hillendale Run Site No. 2). The site includes both a prehistoric lithic scatter and late 18th-early 19th century artifact scatter. A total of 4 shovel test pits were excavated and 11 prehistoric artifacts were collected. Quartz flakes total eight of the finds. The remaining prehistoric artifacts include one quartzite flake (core fragment?) and two worked quartz flakes. A total of 7 historic artifacts were collected. Five were whiteware, 1 black-glazed red earthenware, and one thin dark glass sherd. All artifacts were found in the plowzone. Whether the historic artifacts are in their original context or represent secondary deposition was not determined.
