Letter from John Harper to Donald Rice, Foreclosure on Eligible Historic Properties, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas

Summary

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation has reviewed the Air Force's actions to comply with Section 106, of the National Historic Preservation Act, for its undertakings to rehabilitate Buildings 902, 216, 661, and 675. The Council has concluded that in all four instances the Air Force failed to properly complete the Section 106 process and therefore, the Council unanimously determined that the Air Force has foreclosed their opportunity to comment on the undertakings.

This correspondence is part of a group of letters and supportive documentation concerning pending foreclosure on rehabilitation projects for Buildings 216, 661, 675, and 902, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Foreclosure has been decided upon by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation as a result of Section 106 requirements not being met before the start of the undertakings.
