Summary

Sites 5LA03269, 5LA03300, and 5LA05699 are situated in the Big Arroyo Hills within the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site (PCMS), Las Animas County, Colorado (Wayne Thomas, personal communication October 6, 2017). Four features encountered at these sites were sampled for macrofloral and anthracological (charcoal) analysis to recover and identify charred floral remains and charcoal suitable for AMS radiocarbon age determination. Four radiocarbon dates were requested to ascertain period of use.
