Summary
In compliance with Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (NHPA), and with Air Force Instruction 32-7065, the 50th Space Wing of the United States Air Force has contracted with Parsons Engineering Science, Inc., to survey and evaluate Cold War properties at New Boston Air Station (NBAS), New Boston, New Hampshire. The field survey was originally conducted in November 1996, with additional field survey conducted in February 1998. Background research was carried out at the National Archives and Records Service, the Library of Congress, the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), and local libraries. The evaluation of buildings at NBAS was carried out in accordance with the NRHP Criteria for Evaluation (36 CFR. Part 60). This survey and evaluation satisfies the identification requirements for above ground resources in compliance with the NHPA and contributes to Air Force stewardship of cultural resources.
