Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc. (Far Western), was retained by Nellis Air Force Base (AFB) to complete a research design to conduct an archaeological characterization study of the Belted Range and southern Kawich Valley as part of the Air Force’s ongoing Section 110 compliance. The following research design includes a synthesis of existing data on the environmental context and known archaeology of the area, and provides an issue-oriented research and sampling methodology for conducting an archaeological survey.
