Summary

DOE/NV is proposing to drIII several wells to characterize the area between western Pahute Mesa and Oasis Valley. The data acquired wIII assist DOE/NV to understand and model the hydrogeologic regime underlying Pahute Mesa. Reconnaissance of the ER-EC-8 project area revealed four isolated artifacts 1121597RJ01, I121597RJ02, 112159703and1121597RJ04, along the proposed access road (Figure 3). No archaeological sites nor historic structures are located within the Area of Potential Effect (APE). Therefore, DRI recommends that the project proceed as planned.
