Part of the Nellis Air Force Base (DRAFT) project

Author(s): Louis Hendrickx; Kevin Rafferty

Year: 1989

Summary

A cultural resource investigation of a fence line right-of-way on the Pahranagat Wildlife Refuge. This pedestrian archaeological survey, approximately 4.5 miles in length and 50 feet in width on the Desert National Wildlife Range for Nellis Air Force Base, was conducted under order number PX8000-9-0501 from the National Park Service, Western Region. In addition, a water storage site was surveyed at the request of Bruce Zeller of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Maps 1 and 2). Constructing the fence will disturb surficial soil and floral cover, and subsequently any cultural resources along the rights- of-way will also be disturbed.
