Summary

The Social Sciences Center, Desert Research Institute, was contracted by the Department of Energy to provide information concerning the nature of cultural resources in the project area, to identify and evaluate cultural resource factors that may be important in selecting the nuclear waste repository site, and to recommend procedures for the avoidance of adverse impact to the archaeological record of the southwestern Nevada Test Site, in support of the search for potential repository locations for nuclear waste storage.
