Summary

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) has proposed to demolish Building 32448 (formerly 62-160) Munitions Maintenance Operations facility, an individual Quonset hut that was constructed in 1942. As the proposed project is an undertaking on federal lands with federal funds, a cultural resource survey of the project's Area of Potential Effect (APE) and a determination of the building's National Register of Historical Places (NRHP) eligibility were required under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA; 16 USC§ 470 as amended).
