Summary
Site Summit is a significant Alaskan Cold War Era property. In recognition of this, the Keeper of the National Register of Historic Places listed it on July 11, 1996. A Department of Defense (DoD) Legacy grant through Fort Richardson to the Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation's Office of History and Archaeology paid for research and preparation of the nomination. The Army obtained a second DoD Legacy grant for a feasibility study to help identify potential management actions for the Department of the Army, Fort Richardson to consider. This report is the study.
