Environmental Assessment for the Closure of Punamano Air Force Station Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii

Summary

As a result of a worldwide Mission Area Review of High Frequency systems, the Technology Integration Center identified the Punamano Air Force Station (AFS) as being duplicative in function with that of the Pacific Air Force Command Control Network, and mandated that the two operations be consolidated and that the Punamano AFS be closed. This EA describes impacts to the environment, including cultural resources.
