Final Environmental Impact Statement Housing Privatization Phase II Hickam Air Force Base and Bellows Air Force Stations
Part of the Bellows Air Force Station Resources project
Year: 2006
Summary
The 151h Airlift Wing (AW) of the U.S. Air Force proposes to transfer the remaining housing units (on Hickam AFB and Bellows AFS) and associated infrastructure (e.g., sidewalks, roads and utility systems) to a Selected Offeror 1 and implement a long-term lease to the Selected Offeror for approximately 361 acres of land associated with the housing units. The first phase of housing privatization on Hickam AFB was awarded in February 2005 and resulted in conveyance of 1,356 existing housing units and leasing of approximately 238 acres of land. This EIS evaluates the proposed second phase of housing privatization. The EIS evaluates three alternatives for the privatization of remaining military housing.
