Alaska Implementation Guidelines for Federal On-Scene Coordinators for the Programmatic Agreement on Protection of Historic Properties During Emergency Response Under the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan

Summary

The Alaska Implementation Guidelines complement the 1997 Programmatic Agreement on Protection of Historic Properties during Emergency Response under the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (Programmatic Agreement) by providing Alaska-specific information to Federal On-Scene Coordinators (OCS) to assist in planning for, and responding to, oil spills and hazardous substance releases in Alaska. In addition, the Alaska Implementation Guidelines ensure consistent application and interpretation of the national Programmatic Agreement throughout Alaska by USCG and EPA Federal OSCs and representatives of supporting entities including the USDA; DOI; Alaska SHPO, (ADNR); and Alaska Inter-Tribal Council.
