Summary

From July 5 through July 19, 2009, archaeologists from Geo-Marine, Inc., conducted limited subsurface testing at two prehistoric sites (LA 87370 and LA 87373) and one historic site (LA 87369) located on Melrose Air Force Range (MAFR), Roosevelt County, New Mexico. Due to the presence of intact features and deposits, site (LA 87370) was recommended eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) because of its potential to yield important information concerning the prehistory of eastern New Mexico. The other two sites were recommended not eligible.
