Author(s): Alison Bryson-Deveraux
Year: 2018
Summary
This document is an Archaeological Monitoring report for the Coast Road Culvert Repair Project. The work scope entailed grubbing along a pre-existing, west to east, and north to south trending graded and partially paved access road. The access road entrance begins east of the Coast Road access, and continues south approximately 180 yards down to an unnamed seasonal creek and the culvert basin. One small black banded Monterey chert (1.5”) flake/possible modified flake tool as well as a possible black banded Monterey chert core were noted near the eastern creek bed mouth. Per issued protocol, all potential cultural resources were passed over to the Native American monitor, Charley Centeno.
