Summary
Butler Service Group Inc. (BSG) conducted cultural resource surveys for approximately 27.65 acres of property situated within Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The areas surveyed include nine drill locales with buffer zones and an access route. One previously documented cultural resource site (LA 107481) and five isolated occurrences (IOs), were encountered during this. Site LA 107481 contains the remains of a destroyed historic homestead, that due to recordation, is no longer thought to be eligible to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
The five isolated occurrences are no longer thought to be potentially significant as all important information has been recovered through field recordation. Based on the apparent lack of significant cultural resources, a no effect determination is recommended for this undertaking.
