Year: 1994

Summary

A cultural resources survey was recently conducted on approximately 148 acres of property situated within Cibola National Forest withdrawn lands, Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The intensive pedestrian survey was conducted for Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) Environmental Restoration Program. Site 87 was inventoried in anticipation of proposed environmental cleanup of the decommissioned Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) explosive firing site. No cultural resources were located during this cultural resource inventory.

As no cultural resources were located, there should be no effect to any properties considered potentially eligible for inclusion to the National Register of Historic Places under any of the eligibility criterion. Cultural resource clearance is therefore recommended.
