Archaeological Survey of Proposed Kirtland Air Force Base Program Areas, Bernalillo County, New Mexico
Summary
The Office of Contract Archeology, University of New Mexico conducted a cultural resources inventory of 493 acres of land on the east mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico, on and adjacent to Kirtland Air Force Base. The survey was undertaken at the request of Tetra Tech, Inc. as part of their environmental impact analysis for the proposed relocation of operations from Los Angeles Air Force Base to Kirtland Air Force Base.
No archeological sites or isolated occurrences were documented within the area surveyed. Consequently, archeological clearance is recommended.
