Summary

The primary purpose of this Health and Safety Plan is to provide the Kirtland AFB, Manzano Area field survey team from Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) with important information, procedures, and requirements for conducting their survey with minimum hazard to its health and safety. The plan assigns responsibilities and provides for contingencies which may arise during the course of the survey. Specific points addressed in this documentation include designation of on-site personnel responsible for safety and health, characterization of onsite hazards, personal protective equipment, monitoring strategies, and provisions for plan changes. The intent of the plan is to require the workers to conduct their survey in a safe fashion and to provide them with the means to do so. The plan will address hazards specific to the Manzano Area of Kirtland AFB and to the activities being performed.
