Another Sherd from the Transitional period found in New Mexico

Summary
This is an abstract from the session entitled "Paper / Report Submission (General Sessions)" , at the 2022 annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology.
At the SHA Conference In Boston in 2020, I presented a sherd of Chinese porcelain found in a 17th- century settlement in New Mexico. This site was settled by the Spanish, and then abandoned in 1680. Another sherd which turned up recently is a fit for this sherd, and confirms that both were part of the same piece of Transitional porcelain. (The Transitional Period extended from around 1620-1683) Such pieces, freely-painted in underglaze cobalt blue, are extermely rare, and testify to the importance of the Manila Galleon trade and its connection to the Latin American colonies..
