Summary

This report opens with a general outline of what, is known about the archaeology and early history of East Central Florida, providing some background information for the layman concerning the nature of the area's archeological sites and the time periods into which they fit. The greatest portion of the report contains survey findings which locate and describe Indian and historic sites at KSC. It is intended that this paper should provide a useful reference document for the Kennedy Space Center and also provide information about the archeological resources of the NASA Spaceport at Merritt Island to interested Institutions and researchers.
