Summary
John Milner Associates, Inc., conducted a Phase IA archeological survey in an area on either side of the Suitland Parkway, on land managed by the National Park Service, that may be affected by tree management activities (trimming, removal, and replanting) north of the runway approaches to Andrews Air Force Base. A pedestrian survey was conducted on approximately 57 acres of land. It resulted in the recommendation for testing of approximately 24 acres within the project area that have high probability of containing prehistoric or historic archeological sites.
