Summary

This report provides an inventory and assessment of the Cold War-era (1945-1991) built environment at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), Mississippi. Geo-Marine, Inc., conducted this work to assist the United States Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, in fulfilling its responsibilities. Of the 1,424 Cold War-era buildings inventoried at Keesler AFB, only 144 were further evaluated based on their association with the Cold War missions of Keesler AFB. Seven of those buildings are recommended eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as Cold War-era resources.
