Year: 2019

Summary

Selective, intensive-level survey of 12 architectural resources approaching the age of 50 years. The 12 resources targeted by the present study were surveyed in 2004 (Peyton 2004). At that time, the resources were between 29 and 33 years old and did not qualify for listing in the NRHP as “exceptionally important” under Criteria Consideration G (NPS 1997). Today, the target resources are between 42 and 49 years old and may soon qualify under standard NRHP criteria. They are evaluated here without special consideration (i.e.. Criteria Consideration G). Furthermore, as the Buckley AFB includes a variety of landscape types associated with various missions or international conflicts including, for instance. Cold War missile defense, HRA conducted additional analysis of potential historic landscapes within its area of study.
