The Suitland Parkway / MD 4 interchange is currently under design by the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA). This report outlines the study process, steps taken, options presented, coordination timeline, and resolutions with the National Park Service (NPS) to finalize the agreement of terms to construct this interchange. The negotiations with NPS were broken into three (3) working groups:
1. Real Estate
2. Cultural Resources / Environmental Compliance
3. Aesthetics
This report does not include findings from the Real Estate – Cultural Resources and Environmental Compliance Groups. Information related to those issues was developed and tracked by SHA.
