This document is a subject point paper on the Vandenberg Tracking Station Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) (Atch 1), submitted at the request of HQ SAC in response to an inquiry by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Environment, Safety and Occupational Health), Mr Gary Vest. The subject of this point paper is Historical Preservation compliance for the Vandenberg Tracking Station (VTS) Wastewater Treatment Plant. This point paper is intended to give background concerning non-approval by SHPO for the WWTP and to give updates on Vandenberg Air Force Base's (VAFB) provision of data requested by SHPO. The paper includes a background on SHPO non-approval and comment, a discussion of the project and SHPO non-approval, and a conclusion that discusses additional data that will be provided by VAFB with a timeline for further submittal.
