Summary

This document is a Section 106 letter from the California State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) continuing consultation for the Small ICBM Project and Determination of NRHP Eligibility for San Antonio Terrace Archaeological District (SATAD). The letter concurs that the delineation of the area of potential effect is adequate for the project. It then proceeds to inform that Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) that the evaluation of the SATAD is very brief and continues by providing several examples of deficiencies. The SHPO concurs that intact deposits within the SATAD do represent eligible resources particularly under Criterion D of 36 CFR 60.4.

A table at the end of the letter also lists the resources associated with the SATAD and specifically includes three resources not affiliated with the SATAD and includes the Burton-Marshall Place, Los Alamos Creek RR Viaduct, and North Mesa Camp.
