Summary

This document is a Section 106 letter to the California State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) from Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) continuing consultation for the Peacekeeper Rail Garrison project. The letter includes several attached documents that are being forwarded to the SHPO for review. The letter continues to explain that VAFB plans to allow the project to continue in areas with no archaeological concerns. Areas with archaeological concerns will not proceed until finalization of the historic preservation plan (HPP) for the project. It also states that any new archaeological discovered as part of construction monitoring will also be protected and subject to the HPP.
