Summary

The Tonto National Forest (TNF) is currently conducting National Environmental Policy Act analysis of the proposed Resolution Copper Project (the project) located near Superior, Pinal County, Arizona. As part of this analysis, the TNF has identified several alternative areas proposed for potential development into tailings storage facilities (TSFs). WestLand Resources, Inc. (WestLand), was contracted by Resolution Copper to conduct a cultural resources inventory of TSF Alternative 5 – Peg Leg Well (the survey area) to identify historic properties that may be impacted by the project.
