Summary

Phase I archaeological survey in support of proposed 23-mile, underground fiber-optic cable installation between Camden and Manasquan, New Jersey. Segment 1, between Pemberton and Wrightstown, traversed western portions of Fort Dix within the former Pemberton and Hightstown Railroad right-of-way. Auger testing and five posthole tests completed in Segment 1 document disturbed soils. No surface or subsurface artifacts were encountered and no potentially significant archaeological resources were identified.
