An Archaeological Survey of 36 Acres for Proposed Borrow and Drainage Areas on Holloman Air Base, Otero County, New Mexico
Part of the Holloman Air Force Base Resources project
Year: 1991
Summary
Burke & Associates propose three areas for drainage disposal and for acquiring construction material (gravel, etc.) near the Primate Research Facility on Holloman Air Base, Otero County, New Mexico. The survey yielded one isolated occurrence of prehistoric lithic debitage. The research potential of the isolated occurrence was exhausted by field analysis and recordation. Use of the area for drainage disposal and procurement of material will have no effect on significant artifacts or features, therefore archaeological clearance is recommended.
