Summary
Between June 1996 and November 1996, extensive cultural resource survey was conducted on Holloman Air Force Base (HAFB), Otero County, New Mexico, by Lincoln National Forest archaeologists. A total of 505 acres were inventoried during this project, including 40 acres of re-survey.
A total of two previously unrecorded archaeological sites were documented. One of the newly discovered properties is attributable to prehistoric activities (HAR-256/LA 115877). The second site is related to military activities potentially postdating 1950 (HAR-359/LA 115878).
