Summary

An intensive cultural resources inventory of approximately 12,430 acres (5,034 ha) on McGregor Guided Missile Range, Fort Bliss Military Reservation, Otero County, New Mexico. GMI examined a total of 68 archaeological sites and 420 isolated occurrences during this project. No traditional cultural properties are known to exist in the area, and no historic architectural or Cold War resources were identified. Sixty-one sites were recorded for the first time and seven sites were revisited. Two previously recorded sites were incorporated into other sites or no longer meet site criteria. The sites represent prehistoric and historic temporal affiliations spanning approximately

10,000 years of human occupation in the Tularosa Basin area of south central New Mexico.
