Archeological Testing At The High Speed Test Track Holloman AFB, New Mexico

Part of the Holloman Air Force Base Resources project

Year: 2004

Summary

The sites are located along the High Speed Test Track, a 10 mile (16 km) long, fixed rail structure located in the northern portion of the installation. Planned modifications and upgrades to the existing facility’s structure may negatively impact the prehistoric cultural resources. As the significance and research potential of the sites had not yet been determined, investigations were conducted to determine if the sites had the potential to be nominated to the National Register of Historic Places.
