Summary
The cultural resources investigation of the Holloman AFB commercial vehicle route project involved three phases: identifying the undertaking and Area of Potential Effect (APE); identifying cultural resources known to the area; and field inspection of the APE. A total of five archeological sites and 31 isolated occurrences were recorded during the survey. Three of the archeological sites consisted of artifact scatters of predominantly El Paso Brown sherds, while two of the archeological sites consisted of artifact scatters of lithics only.
