Summary
This report describes the results of a Class III inventory of site LA 186373, referenced here as the Robina Draw Rock Art Site. The site is located in the Guadalupe Mountain foothills over terrain carved by the Dark Canyon drainage system, approximately 26 miles southwest of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Site LA 186373 was recorded pursuant to the BLM’s stewardship responsibilities under section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). The location of site LA 186373 will be protected from future land development activities. Future research on the site is anticipated as part of a comprehensive recording of all rock art sites in the CFO, supported by the Permian Basin Programmatic Agreement mitigation fund.
