Summary

This report (ESR 20) describes the implementation of the Environmental Surveillance Plan for the STS Program at VAFB and is a continuation of reports No. 1-19. Construction activities continued at Station Sets V23, FY '84 Physical Security Modifications, V32 in Port Hueneme, and V80 (partial) Towroute. New construction began at V33 Harbor Headquarters Refurbishment, V23 Launch Pad Paving/North Access Road and Security Modifications Phase II (Security Patrol Roads) and V17 Visual Landing Aids.

Construction monitoring for these projects and six archaeological surface surveys were conducted at: 1) Transmission medium to Skyscreen Van at Honda Point, 2) V33 TCF Fence/Parking Lot Extension, 3) Communications line between Buildings 1610, 1682, and 1605, 4) Communications line between Buildings 865 and 660 and the Building 660 Fence Extension, 5) Temporary Storage Facility, north of V33 TCF, and 6) Building 660 - Parking lot extension. Subsurface testing was conducted at SBA-212, 1145, and 1686.
