Summary
This document is a Section 106 inventory report for the proposed construction of a new space launch complex (SLC-7). The report includes geotechnical testing in the vicinity of Cypress Ridge terrace, to assess the viability of the location. Previous geotechnical testing in this area was supported by a No Effect determination. Two archaeological sites have been recorded in the vicinity of the proposed geotechnical testing from archaeological surface surveys and limited subsurface testing as part of the Space Shuttle Program. Generally concludes that any surficial impacts can be mitigated by hand augering immediately prior to the geotechnical boring.
