Summary

This document is a study that was prepared as part of the archaeological monitoring program for the DOD Space Transportation Systems (STS) Ground Support Systems Integration Environmental Tasks at VAFB. Explains the general and project, or location specific, predictive criteria and ranking system employed for evaluating the probability of encountering subsurface archaeological sites at each Station Set Location. Includes detailed descriptions of previously encountered subsurface sites, and the development of the predictive criteria, both general and location specific. Table 8 ranks the probability for encountering subsurface sites at each VAFB Station Set Location.
