Summary
This document is Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Amendment 1 for the D1 Power Line Project. The purpose of the amendment is to modify the stipulations of the existing MOA. The amendments include the following 3 changes to the original stipulations: 1) Amend Stipulation II.B.1 by removing the requirement to excavate 2 Controlled Excavation Units (CEU) at CA-SBA-228; 2) Amend Stipulation II.B.2 by removing the requirements for CA-SBA-512 and -513 to excavate a 1 meter-by-1 meter CEU in a location that is adjacent to where each new pole will be placed; and 3) Amend Stipulation II.B.4 by removing the requirement to excavate two 1 meter by-1 meter CEU’s at CA-SBA-941. The document was signed by the Vandenberg Space Force Base Civil Engineering Squadron Commander, the chairman of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, and the California State Historic Preservation Officer.
