Summary
This document is a Section 106 letter that continues consultation with both the California State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) regarding the proposed Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Test Program (OHP reference #USAF_2021_0122_001). This letter is in response to SHPO's request for additional information for review in letter dated 25 March 2021. In fulfillment of the request for additional information, the United States Air Force (USAF) prepared a report "Revised Design of the Undertaking and Finding of Effect, Ground Based Strategic Deterrent Test Program," which was included with this letter as an attachment. In response to comments offered by the Tribe regarding the need to consider cultural resources more broadly to include traditional cultural properties and landscapes and sacred sites, the USAF also prepared a report entitled "Places of Traditional Religious and Cultural Importance, Ground Based Strategic Deterrent Test Program," also included in this letter as an attachment, as a courtesy copy for both entities addressed. The 30th Space Wing (30 SW) requests concurrence from the SHPO on several specific determinations as listed in this letter.
