Summary

This document is a Section 106 letter report for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility testing at CA-SBA-1909 for the Installation remediation project on Vandenberg Air Force Base. The intent of the project is to remediate soils contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dioxins, pesticides, and metals at the location of a former sewage treatment plant. The report discusses the excavation of 16 shovel test pits located on archaeological site CA-SBA-1909. The results of the excavation determined that CA-SBA-1909 is not eligible for the NRHP.
