Author(s): Robert E. Bell

Year: 1960

Summary

This Bulletin, Special Bulletin No. 2, is a continuation of the Guide to the Identification of Certain American Indian Projectile Points published by the Oklahoma Anthropological Society in December, 1958. Information and pen drawings are presented for 50 projectile point types that have been recognized in the United States. This makes one hundred point types that have been included in the Special Bulletins, but it does not include all that has been recognized or identified throughout the literature. There are somewhere between 150 and 200 point types that have been named at this time.
