Summary

Chaco-McElmo Black-on-white, miniature shallow bowl, Accession AZRU-00001, Catalog #991, Morris FS 4613. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Temper is unknown; bright white washy slip suggests bowl was manufactured in the Chaco Cibola region. Bowl was reconstructed with 50% original fragments and 50% unknown paster material. Measurements: 12 cm rim diameter, 3 cm height. Image AZRU1-991 A: interior view showing painted design. Note: lower half of bowl with dark color surface is a plaster material reconstruction. Image AZRU1-991 B: exterior view showing shape of bowl and rim ticking. Image AZRU1-984 C: top view showing orifice and painted design. Recovered from Earl Morris excavation of Kiva R, Aztec West Ruin. No published description of Kiva R available.
