McElmo Black-on-white (Early style), bowl (fragmentary), Accession AZRU-00008, Catalog #4990, Morris FS 4583. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Sherd and indeterminate crushed rock temper suggests the bowl was manufactured in the central Mesa Verde region. Bowl fragments represent only about 70% of vessel. Measurements: 14.9 cm orifice diameter, 8.4 cm height. Image AZRU8-4990 A: bowl fragments showing painted design design on interior surface. Recovered from Earl Morris excavation of Kiva R, Aztec West Ruin. No published description of Kiva R available.
