Vessel from Chavez Pass; PIV Jeddito Black-on-yellow dipper. Ceramic; round dipper with convex base and walls; Interior design: solid rim band, bisecting base line with 2 intersecting lines containing a bird-foot design element and semicircle; Handle design: triangular design on upper surface of strap handle. PROVENIENCE: Chavez Pass. CONDITION: Fair; handle broken 4.5 cm from bowl; restored from 2 pieces with glue; crack on 1 wall extends to base; 2 small chips on rim. CONSERVATION: Feb. 28, 1986 - Val Canouts (Smithsonian Visiting researcher) sampled clay from the broken rim. CULTURE: Anasazi; PIV. HOW OBTAINED: Donation by Lewis A. Ketring, 6/4/85. ID BY: SGD, 6/6/85, 6/12/85. CAT BY: JSB, 6/13/85. DISPOSITION: Prehistoric Pottery Collection. Data entered by CEG, 4/9/91. LENGTH: 15.9 cm
