Summary

Vessel from Awatovi; P IV Medium- sized bolw. Irragular, flat base, convex walls; slightly incurcing rim; beveled up lip. Exterior: smooth and polished with striations visible; black desing of rectangular S-scrolls on opposite edges. Interior: smooth and polished with polishing striaions visible; black painted design of broad broken framing line; thin unbroken line borders quartered design of interlocking scrolls, one consisting of broad, line and other of stepped lines and diagonal hatching. Condition: base worn, cracks visible. Restoration: restored; two sections of putty included. Condition: good. Int.: some chips. Ext.: scratches, glue visible in restored area.
